A benefit gig featuring Joe Solo, described by Radio 2 as the ‘perfect protest singer’, Hull legend Bernie Laverick and Lloyd from The Hillbilly Troupe.
The gig is a fundraiser to support Dermot Rathbone, who’s had his sickness benefits stopped following an extended stay in hospital. Despite suffering from several debilitating conditions, Dermot is well-known in Hull for his tireless campaigning for the NHS and for his work with the Samaritans. The gig has been organised by a group of fellow trade unionists and activists to raise money to support Dermot and his family in their time of need.
